2026 will be the first year that Semex UK, collectively as an organisation, will raise funds for charity. Our chosen charity, Cancer Research, is one close to all our hearts in Semex. Over the last few years many colleagues and wider family members have been affected by this horrible disease. Some, unfortunately lost their battle, some have been fortunate enough to come through treatment successfully and others continue their fight.

Five colleagues from Semex UK head office are participating in the Glasgow 5k Pretty Mudder. We are looking forward to taking on this challenge and pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones with the objective of raising much needed funds for Cancer Research UK

Somebody asked me the other day if I was mad and I guess in a way I am but people have been really generous so far.
So 47 miles, around lake Windermere going up and down hills with one in particular being the sort that makes you wish your mother had never met your father. But the challenge is nothing compared to the challenge many people are facing today. None of us are immune to the impact of Cancer. I've lost two mates to it in the first 3 months of this year so no matter what happens on the day if this money goes to help ease the suffering of people then a bit of discomfort for me is a price worth paying.
